Very well-thought out analysis of the Survivor edition, but I have to disagree. I do find some validity in Cao boi's assertion that to reclaim the Asian heritage does shatter some stereotypes. We are taught to be ashamed of our Asian heritage as Asian Americans, that to really succeed we must adopt mainstream Western culture. However, to me reclaiming our heritage is the same as blacks advocating that "black is beautiful"... turning what was originally a source of quiet negatives into a proud positive.

We talk about Yul Kwon’s win of Survivor: Cook Islands, the release of the Asian Pacific American Media Coalition report card on media diversity, and we respond to listener feedback from the last episode.
