[...] MultiCultClassics has also done a phenomenal job of covering the ongoing investigation by the New York City Human Rights Commission into the advertising industry’s hiring practices (check out episode 43 of Addicted to Race for more on that). Basically, the ad industry is so incredibly undiverse that the entire industry is under investigation. [...]

Hi there,

I really laughed when I heard Jen's rant about her co-workers reactions to finding out she is Jewish. Funnily enough, I get a very similar (although not so eyes-wide-open extreme, perhaps) reaction when people find out I'm Jewish. Although I'm white, my dad is from Scotland and I've definitely inherited his celtic looks (red hair, freckles), and somehow people find it really weird that I'm Jewish.

I remember a particular incident from secondary school (high school I guess), when we were studying the Arab-Israeli conflict in history class. Our teacher was convinced that my non-Jewish friend was Jewish (and spent a good 10 minutes talking to him at cross purposes about it) and expressed total bemusement about me.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying your podcasts, keep up the good work!
